What's Your Call? By Debbie Crain Sometimes as Chris tians we get comfortable in our environment with Christian friends and activities. Many people are trapped in their comfort zones and do not realize they have become apathetic. They are afraid to try some thing new or afraid to go beyond these zones of protection and security, whatever they may be. It is easy to talk about Christ and share with people who know Him or know of Him. It is Christ who challenges us to take our Christian witness to people who have broken and hard hearts long since given over to building walls protective against hurt. Many people have never even heard of the man named Jesus who can give us hope and eternal life. The Bible gives us excellent advice con cerning our attitudes of helping others. In Mat thew 9:12-13 it says that it is the sick who need help not the healthy: 'On hearing this, Jesus said, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means.. I de sire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Once a week Mon treat students get to gether and go visit the Black Mountain Center. For an hour, all enjoy times of sharing, fellow ship, games, discussions, skits, etc. The thing we would want most is to share God's love to these kids abundantly. The kid's ages range from thirteen to eighteen. Announcements will be made at a later date as to when our first visit will be. Transportation will be provided. Nor mal scheduled visita tions are on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00. We will keep the same time schedule unless conflict arises. If you are inter ested, please let me know. Do not just get comfortable, reach out and help someone who needs it! I hope the Lord leads you to get involved with this activity. To my dear students at M-AC, please refrain from stealing the sugar shakers, and mixing salt and sugar together. These actions are immature and irresponsible. Just remember there are other people in the world just like you. If you happen to find pens in your catsup, just think, it might have been you who put it there! —Pamela Crain Huddle House HUDDLE HOUSE RESTAURANTS BEST FOOD YET ■■I wm ■■§ ■■■ ■■■ ■■ MB ■■■ wmm mm, mm wtm mm wmm mm mm m M-AC Students and Faculty Two Grilled Cheese Sandwiches With French Fries $3.00 L Good Thru 1/4/91 J
