Night Light Do not any longer conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. -Romans 12:2 I will see how the wicked are punished but I will not share it. For Jehovah is my refuge! -Psalms 91:8-9 TongSing Student’s Poll Resturant Quotables Classic: A book that everybody praises yet nobody reads. -Mark Twain He who has no hope of heaven, hath no hold on time. —Anonymous 403 W. State Street 669-5049 By: Shannon Hodgins Assistant Editor One may at first be struck by the tiny size of Black Mountain's Tong Sing restau rant; they may also be sur prised at the small size of the bill total. Despite the small ness of these aspects, they do not equal the taste: Big and Good! OwnersT.C. and Sara Chhay opened TongSing two years ago, and have since opened another sister restau rant in the Chimney Rock area. Success of this restau rant is the logical outcome of several factors. First, the serv ice is good and friendly. The food is wonderful and the selection is very large. The prices are reasonable, aver aging from $4.39 to approxi mately $8.99. My favorite main entree is the Sesame Chicken. The dish is tangy and spicy, with enough left to take home a snackinoneof those cute little Chinese boxes. Their menu ranges from fried rice, pork, beef, chicken, seafood and chef specials. One will be pleasantly surprised about the menu and the size of the dishes. This would be a wonderful place to take a date in the Black Mountain area, and a good place for friends to munch. All dishes are served with steamed white rice, appetizers and hotsoups are also served. For one of those nights when the cafeteria food does not appeal to you, try an au thentic Chinese dish at TongSing; You might find it to be the best oriental rest aurant around. Paulette Mixon Staff Writer The results of a M-AC student survey suggest that students would like to see some added features and improvements to the college. Students would like to have more clubs available on cam pus. Examples might include interest clubs like a home makers club, or competition teams in debate, math, Bible, Spanish and drama; clubs related to majors, such as a political science club and Bible club might be included. Another prevalent want of students is improvement in the dorms. Good washers and dryers are definitely in order for dorm residents at Montreat-Anderson College. Many students state that it's not right to claim working dormitory laundry facilities in the handbook, then never maintain them throughout the year. New carpet and paint would do wonders to revitalize old dorms. There is much which can be done, much which should be done. The group chapels were a resounding success. The lecture and discussion of music videos got students fired up and actively discuss ing God's role in our every day lives. It goes to show if given the opportunity to try new things, students will impress even the most pessi mistic observer. CpL Kyle McBride, Delta Company's 1st platoon Troop in Saudi Arabia Dear Administration, My fellow Marines and I were involved in our daily routine when we received several copies of the HomeVo- ice paper. We read through the paper and were shocked when we saw your college and its students supporting the troops here, we were under the impression that the col lege students of America were protesting the War and the deployment of US Troops, we were very happy to see that this is not true, at least not in all cases. We, the Marines of Delta Company 1-1, would like for you to extend to your students our sincere thanks, and tell them that we would enjoy hearing from them by mail. They may write the address on this letter and we will pass the mail around and respond to it. Again we thank you. Operation Desert Storm Sincerely, Cpl Kyle McBride The Address for Letters to Delta 1-1: Inc/o Cpl.
