the burdens of today that
drive men mad. It is the
regrets overyesterday and
the fear of tomorrow.
Regret and fear are twnn
thieves who rob us of to
day.
So stop pacing the
aisles and counting the
miles. Instead, climb more
mountains, eat more ice
cream, go barefoot more
often, swim more rivers,
watch more sunsets, laugh
more, cry less. Life must
be lived as we go along.
The station will come soon
enough.

above advice by Robert
Hastings with you. As one
who has often anticipated
the grand arrival at the
station, I know that I need
to remember and heed his
words. I suspect there may
be times when you do too.
“Life is what happens to
us while we’re busy mak
ing plans” - I think John
Lennon said that. Life is
quite a trip! The secret is
toenjoy the journey. Don’t
miss the opportunity to
live, love and savor each
day that God gives us.
Talce time to smell the
flowers. Eat more ice
cream.

A few of the activities
of the S AA will be to serve
as greeters or hosts for
donor receptions, to rep
resent the college at com
munity events, assisting
the Admissions Office in
recruiting students, and
serving as tour guides to
guests of the college. This
organization is designed
to assist the college and
serve others. This goes
along with the SGA
theme: “Serve to Lead.”
Dean Hargrove is in
charge of this organiza
tion. He said, “I feel this
will be a good opportunity
for students to serve their
college.” He is excited
about the new club and is
anxious to see it start. “I
am excited about the po
tential of this group,” was
a comment Dean Har
grove made during their
first meeting September
23. “I think this is a qual
ity organization.”
