Kaminer Hosts Seminar Business Professor Bill Kaminer is hosting a seminar on personal finance the first and third Mondays of each month. The semi nar is open to all faculty, staff and students. Kaminer intends to discus eco nomic issues from a Christian per spective, dealing with such topics as God’s idea of wealth; what the Bible says about the desire to get rich quick; and Scriptural advice about savings, debt, and planning. Red Cross Blood Drive - Tuesday's Low Turnout Could Mean New Strategy of Incentives for Spring Semester By Phil Parker Last Tuesday, the Ameri can Red Cross set up their equip ment in the lobby of McGregor Hall, in order to take blood from the strong-willed and to nauseate the light-headed. A goal of 50 people was set before the blood drive started and after the day was complete, 30 people showed up with a total of 24 productive donors. Included in the 24 donors there, were 4 first time donors. Tom Hilgers said about the blood drive, "The turnout could have been better and that could have been due to the location; there was lim ited space in McGregor." The Red Cross will be here again in the spring. Hilgers wants the spring drive to be better advertised and to add some incentives to get more people to show up. "Maybe we’ll have a pizza party or something for the hall with the best turnout," states Hilgers. A special thanks goes out to the students who gave blood, to the Sophomore Class President Jeff Reardon, and the other students for all their help with the Blood Drive.
