By Oaniell Hartness
"Explorations" is senior
Frances Domingues' theme for
her display of photographs lo

The pictures range from
people engaging in different
poses, to trees, to more abstract

tional atmosphere.
The opening reception was
last Friday night, April 8, from
7-9pm. Domingues chuckled
as she stated that the last picture
was hung at 6:45pm, only a mere
fifteen minutes before show
time. The food for the recep
tion, also had just arrived.
She recalled how nervous
she was at first, but that she
received a lot of help before the
reception.
Domingues expressed, "I
felt supported by students, the
community, and friends."
The exhibition will con
tinue until Friday, April 22. The
gallery hours are 9am-6pm,
Monday through Friday. The
gallery will be open on week

Cavs Challenge Bluefield Tomorrow
By Sean Anderson
The Cavalier baseball team

10-0.
The following day, the Cavs
split during a double header
against Virginia Interment on
home turf. In the first game, the
Cavs lost by a final score of 6-5.
The main scorers for the Cavs
during the game, each contrib

Cunningham, Chris Hoyle,
Aaron McCall, Lance McCall,

The Cavs came back in the
second game, and crushed their
opponents with a score of 12-1.
Players Mitch Glenn, Lance
McCall and Joe Snyder each
belted in one home run. J. J.
Altizer and Chad Greene aided
the team's effort with one run
each.
Today the team will travel
approximately three hours to
Bluefield College, located in
Bluefield, Virginia, to face off
in three conference games.
Bluefield's 85 acre campus
is twice the size as M-AC, and
not only is Bluefield in the NAIA
conference, but also is a mem
ber of the NLCAA conference
as well. Mark Blevins is the
coach of the baseball team at
Bluefield.
On April 19, the Cavaliers
will travel 17 miles in a short
distance trip to compete in Jus
tice Gym against the University
of North Carolina at Asheville
(UNC-A).
On Wednesday, April 20,
the Cavs will be back at home to
challenge Church of God-
affliated Anderson University.
Anderson has an enrollment of
2,133 students, about four times
the size of M-AC. The boys from
Indiana will have a long road
trip before vying against M-AC.
Player Mitch Glenn an
nounced, "We are gonna have to
win at least two out of three
conference games to be com
petitors in the conference tour
nament."
Some members of the team
have received honors for their
skills. Lance McCall has been
awarded Player of the Week
twice this season, while Shane
Hatcher was awarded Pitcher of
