Arts Entertainment Acts of Renewal with Shores & Anderson -Next Event of Fine Arts Theatre Series National touring theatre com pany Acts of Renewal, presents a refreshing, yuletide show called, “Rediscovering Christmas” on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Gaither Chapel. In “Rediscovering Christ mas,” professional actors Jim Shores and Carol Anderson cap tivate audiences with a series of vignettes that let young, and old step anew into the wonder, the hilarity, the joy of Christmas. Jim and Carol are repeat performers with organizations such as. Focus on the Family and Family Life. Their material has been aired on PBS and their reputation for excellence in live theatre has been long standing. Gary Lydic of Focus on the Family says, “Our audiences consistently rave about their performances.” Jim and Carol are based in Black Mountain, but perform more often in places like Dallas or Chicago than at home. So this perfor mance is a great opportunity for the community to experi ence what has endeared them to audiences across the country. “Rediscovering Christmas” is presented as part of the Montreat College Fine Arts Theatre Series. This series is offered as a gift to the Montreat community bring ing in performances featuring high quality professional Chris tian tlieatre artists. Listen, Process. Help. The first event featuring Golden Globe nominee Jeannette Clift George was a huge success with an over capacity crowd that ended the evening with a standing ovation. The upcoming performance by Acts of Renewal will offer more of the same out standing theatre experience and promises to be a great way to start off the Christmas season.
