holds up the entire barracks at roll-
call by being the last man out.
7. The two-weeks recruit who be
lieves that drills were invented solely
to kill time and thinks that he is be
ing independant by loafing along,
making the rest of the crowd look like
a hunch of hicks.
8. The lounge lizard who prefers to
lay on your bunk rather than his
own and who leaves you a reminder
of his visit by strewing cigarette-i
ashes and butts all over your blank-

9. The freak who believes that your
clothes fit him a 100 per cent better
than his own and borrows them
10. The half-hearted .John who
thinks the army was devised as a
rest-cure and that his particular job
is the only tough one in the hospital.

Happyland is to be a new .splendor
garden located in the Base Hospital
region of Camp Greene. The mam
building of the joy settlement has al
ready been opened. It stands on the
strip of ground between I.,al-ewood and
Liberty Park, near the Woodvale car
stop.
The first enactment was a revela
tion to most of the folks from “up
Worth.” It was an old-fashioned bar
becue. The marbled counter in the
eating house is arranged so that all
who ^e seated can see the roasting
of pork and beef in progress.
The initial opening of Happyland
was on Saturday night. Later therlr
