ARMY NOVELTY STORE 209 W. Trade St. Complete Asssortment of ARMY NOVELTIES and AN APPEAL TO PATRIOTISM. Far from home and in the Army, In this great world war for peace There are thousands who are fighting For a permanent release Of the nations so down trodden That their life becomes a hell, And to do our bit for victory What we do we must do well. Be it yonder in the trenches Or at home among the sick Where our lot for work has fallen We should do It, and that quick All our gifts should be forth coming In this cause, so right and just. And our sacrifice for freedom Will be life—if must. Some have passed beyond the border And their names forever tell Of a service nobly rendered Of a service nobly rendered And a duty done so well; So to us now in the service. And to you, who, still at home. May we concentrate our elforti In sustaining every loan There are certain individuals Of a profiteering c’an Who are working Uncle Sammle For everything they can. They’re a setback to the nation And the cause fbr just and right. And the quicker they're abolished We will sooner win the fight. * t. When our Country cau-s for service, No matter what it be. May it always be forthcoming In this fight for liberty; Let us proudly do the service For the flag we l.ove so well. And always make it honest. For the truth is bound to tell. Let us all expend our efforts In the thousand and one ways To win this war for freedom Until the end of days, And the Stars and Stripes forever Proudly float upon the breeze When every bark that goes a sailing Safely sails upon ail seas. —By Captain P. a.
