KILLED IN ACTION.
News was received by Sgt. Arthur
Farrell, telephone operator, to the ef
fect that his brother has been killed
in action on the other side, but up to
a recent date this lacked vertifica-
tion. However on Sunday last the fin
al word was received and the news
of his brother’s loss is now regarded
as authentic by the sergeant.
Sgt. Farrell and his brother are both
natives of New Haven, Conn., having
enlisted with Uncle Sam early in the
war. P. A. Farrell, the deseased sol
dier held the rang of sergeant with
Co. B of the 102nd Infantry..

Corp. Arthur Hart had as his guest
over the week-end Hospital Sergeants
Dempsey and Leighton at his home in
York South Carolina.

a short leave of absence.
We are all glad that Captain Mc
Lean is well again and able to oper
The nurses’ staff has changed also;
Miss Jehle has gone to Buffalo N. Y.,
on a ten days leave. Miss Schimmel-
man is in Isolation 2 and Miss Cur
ran and Miss Bgerton who have been
giving anesthetic left for New York
where they are mabilizing for over
Corp. Melton, and Pvts. Triess,
Whaley and Eaton of Base Hospital
No. 92 are receiving instructions in
anesthetic and general surgery.
