10 THE CADUCEUS ORDINANCE DEPOT The men of the Ordnance Depot Co., were sorry to learn this week, that their Commanding Officer, Capt. El mer S. Barkhurst ,is to leave his com mand. During the time he has been in charge of this organization, there has been such an indominable spirit of morale by this command as to have called forth official commendation from the chief of the Supply Div. in Wash. ■Notwithstanding the high order of efficiency that characterized the work of the depot there hasn’t been a man that has felt he has done halt enough. He has our best wishes, and we regret that he can’t be with us during our busy days to come. Lieutenant Thomas can beat a roll ing stone without going overseas. Just now he has landed on A street. Keep on going, lieutenant, till you have reached your destination, and then you will gather moss, no doubt. Minor surgery is gradually '^ring- ing together the operating room staff to their headquarters again. The operating room staff ^ wish to express their sympathy to Lieutenant Thomas, who was called home last week on account of the death of his sistGr. Captain Webster is busier than ever clinging to his receiving ward and Dakin-Carrell Laboratory. We are soon beginning to believe that he should hate to part with it in the near future.
