Through the summer months Captain William Longstreth has proven true to his original promise to teach all the nurses, who cared to learn, the knack of horseback hiding. At every call for steeds he has seen to it that a string of spirited animals were brought around to the nurse’s home for the evening canter. His patience has been tireless. Most of the nurses who now set a saddle like the ladies in the circus parade and who formerly screamed whenever the active steed shook his head thank the captain s perseverence for thoir learning. It is at the request of the body of the horsewoman of the nurse corps that The Caduceus runs this picture of the captain, mounted on his favorite saddle horse, and standing at the side of the road near the nurse s home. The picture was taken in the late afternoon, with the; autumn sun brighten ing up the colorful fall shrubbery and giving the promise of the close of the riding season. STUDENT NURSE NOTES.
