PLACE QUITS KNIGHT TEMPLAR TO HOLD ANNUAL MEET OCAL COMMAND- ery of Knights Templar will hold their Christmas Observance in their Asy lum, fourth floor of Ma sonic Temple, on Christmas morning, the service commencing promptly at eleven o’clock. While this service em braces ceremonies distinctive of Knights Templar, it is open to the public, and the men of Camp Greene and their ladies who may attend, will receive a hearty welcome. Em. Sir W. N. Bacon has issued the following order to the Sir Knights of the Commandery: Sir Knights:—Assemble in your Asylum, on Wednesday morning, De cember 25, 1918, at ten-thirty o’clock, in full uniform, to take part in our Christmas observance. Invite your friends to attend. The order is followed by the greet ing of the Eminent Commander, who speaks of many causes for rejoicing and thanking at this time, and ex presses the hope that the blessings of this Holy season and the benediction of the great Captain of our salvation, my bring to you and yours, a truly Merry Christmas Rev. Sir Dr. Bunyan McLeoud, pas tor of Westminster Presbyterian church, will deliver the address, and the music, under the direction of Sir Harry J. Zehm, will be a feature of the se-vic'e. The program follows; Organ Prelude. Adeste Pidells. Pl-ocetesional—Onward, Christian S'oldivers. Hymn—Hark, the Herald Angels Sing. Response—Glory to God in 'he Highest—Zehm. Will arrive in time to meet Kris Kringle. Rush right home and fix up the flat. Fisher Morse, M.D. —Journal A.MjL. ENTERTAIN CAMP COMMANDER Col. and Mrs. August Macomh and Lt.-Col. and Mrs. George A. Renn, were the guests of honor at a special en tertainment held at the hospital Red Cross building on Saturday evening, Dec. 14th. The program was arranged and pre sented by the 343rd Battalion of the Tarilc corps, now at this station. The first number of the bill was a well written and staged vaudeville sketch which aroused the hearty applause of the spectators. Following this were: a recitation from the “Virginia Judge,’’ musical numbers by the spec ial “Jazz” orchestra of the 343rd B’n and several meriorious vocal selec tions. The following medical officers for merly of this station have received orders to proceed to Camp Hancock at Augusta, Ga.: Lieutenants, Brlnn, Hig:- gins and Durstoff. In the honorable discharge of Capt. Clyde A. Ross the Base Hospital loses one of it’s most popular and efficient officers. Lieutenant McGurl left for his home p,t Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening for a period of ten days, he having- se cured a leave of absence for that length of time. Captain Harry L. Babcock has been transferred to the receiving ward for duty with Capt. Chandler. Private First Class Edward Norton, is substituting as secretary to Colonel George A. Renn in the absence of Sergeant First Class Goldstein, who is on a five day pass.
