ARMY NURSES OF THE U. S. ARMY BASE HOSPITAL, CAMP GREENE
The spirit of Mercy hovers about every ward of the TJ. S. Army Base Hospital, Camp Greene because the
women pictured above are here. They are the graduate Army nurses of the hospital and it is their care which
sooths the pain of those who are brought to us for healing. Both the day nurses and those who keep the
watches of the night in the wards, are in the group which assembled, for The Caduceus photographer, on the
front steps of the Nurse’s home on Tuesday. ^ r:, c.. , ^ t

infuriated by the presence of this
Hoosier literary man, sprung furiously
against the bars of the cage, and only
by the timely efforts of the Sergeant’s
friends was he dragged away to safety.
