MOTOR TRANSPORT
REAL HOSPITALITY
OMMENTINO on the re
cent discussions of South
ern Hospitality, we quote
somewhat vaguely on the
statements which the Mo
tor Transport Men made,
who went overland to Atlanta recently.
Though these men were shown the
real Southern Hospitality elsewhere
than this immediate vicinity, it ap
plies also to our midst. The men who
made the trip encountered many cold
rainy days, with mud impossible to
get thru, besides making the drive
during the holidays. Several nights
the hoys were compelled to sleep out
in the mud and rain under their
trucks, when the hand of Southern
Feilowship could not reach them, hut
when they were known to he in a
certain community the best to be had
was theirs. At Easly and Anderson,
S. C., especially were the hoys treated
to the best of everything. Those two
towns the boys shall never forget as
well as their whole trip. Space pre
vents us giving details of the wonder
ful generosity of the people of this
Southland, however anyone in doubt
as to we Soldiers appreciation of such,
ask the M. T. C, boys.
Sergeant Seigel on his recent trip
to New York found time to refresh
his mind and thirst of things as they
used to be in Old Manhattan.
