PRESS ROOM
PARAGRAPHICS
There once was a boy named Moses
Who went out to pick some red roses;
He slipped on his toes and fell on
his nose.
And red as a rose his nose is.
By TED THOMPSON
I heard a fellow say the other day
that if he ever went to work in a
mine he would take two or three hot
dogs along to dig him out in case the
mine caved in.

A few days ago a baseball team
nlaying lligh Point rolled up 11 runs
in one inning.
“And did they score 11 runs?”
someone asked.
“I guess they did,” answered an
other. 'T don’t think they were Ro
man numerals.”

“I must go in and take my exercise
now.”
“You take exercise? What kind?”
“I play the phonograph.”
“But that’s not exercise!”
“Oh, yes it is. The spring is broken
and I have to turn it with my finger.’
Ketchie: Ted, did Lena have lip
sticks on her lips at the reception?
Ted: Naw. nlot much.
Ketchie: Huh! How do you know?
