EXCHAI^GE
The Pointer has received a large
number of papers for exchange this
year—some of the best that are pub
lished by high schools and some of
the best college papers. We wish to
thank every school and college that
we have had on our list for th*
qopies of papers which have been
sent us. We hope that The Pointer
has been received in every school
and college which we sent it in the
manner that we have received the
exchanges. The spirit which schools
evidence in the exchange we have
seen this year is unsurpassed.
We are glad to say that much has
been accomplished this year through
the exchanges, although we have
net accomplished as much as we
would have liked to accomplish. We
hope that our efforts to help other
.scl^ols by sending out The Pointer
have not been in vain. Other papers
have helped us. They have given us
ideas.
Some of the papers are unusually
•good, such as the Hi Life, Greens
boro high school. That paper shows
a wide variety of school activities,
and expresses the ideas of the en
tire student body. It is not only this
but also a clean paper and shows
that the students cooperate to make
it worthy of school place accorded
by the Columbia Press Award com
mittee. ■
The Tri-Hi, Leakesville high school
is an excellent paper. Thiie (school
spirit shown through this paper is
excellent. The Funny Bone column
is good. .' '
The Hillbilly, Asheville high
school. Your magazine is very neat
and well arranged. Your stories and
various pages are excellent. ;Much
work has been put in your paper.
The Echo, Salisbtiry high school
is an up-to-date magazine.
The Parrot, China Grove Farm
Life school. First we want to com
mend vou on the name of your pa
per. You have a fine school spirit
and ' a good paper.
The Mt. Airy High Spots, Mt.
Airy high school. You have much
school spirit and we like the Open^
Forum. We want to congratulate the!

We are very proud of our exchanges
and hope to have them again next
year.
The spirit that prevailed through
the school papers is very commend
able, and we hope that this spirit
will ever prevail through the high
schools.
