Per haps one of the most important things we learn in school, after all, is how to live with other- folk. That ability makes it easy to get and hold a job. It is that which helps us make friends and keep them. That makes us a real part of the group with which we are associ ated. In striving to learn this we must think of others as well as ourselves. Courtesy and con sideration for the convenience and comfort of others are of prime importance. In thinking over our school, I am sure you will think of more quiet in the halls at lunch and between classes. It is more courteous to talk with each other than to shout. Care in the cafeteria line and about the way we leave the tables, and care of the building and equip ment in general should be our concern. Cooperation in getting our work in on time and taking care of every obligation, meeting appointments on time, and bring ing excuses for absences when we return so that we do not have to be sent for with a pink slip—these are some of the things that make living with other people in school more pleasant. Observance of them will make each of us a part of the real school. Let each one of us, then, think of his own part in making this a Happy New Year in school.” The senior class will hold a meeting on Tuesday morning for the purpose of selecting a class song, class colors, and class flower.
