WILLIAM McLEAN. CLARENCE "Pete" CANNON, JERRY
HOYLE and TURNER BENGE are employed as laborers at the
Nelson Plant.
William lives in the Old Collier's community. He has two
children. His hobbies are fishing and coon hunting.
Pete, one of the Nelson's best known employees, has been
working here thirty years. He lives on Lenoir, Rt. 2. He has
three children.
Jerry has three boys. He lives on Granite Falls, Rt. 2, an
attends Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Hunting and fishing are
his favorite sports.
Turner has eleven children. He lives on Lenoir, Rt. 3, and is
a member of Faith Baptist Church.

AUTRY FARRAR, employed at Textured Yarn Plant on June
15, 1959, enjoys his work at A & E which is evident with six
years service as janitor on the 1st shift. Autry lives at 502
East Catawba Avenue in Mt. Holly with his wife, HILDA, and
son, RICKEY. A member of Bethel Baptist Church of Mt. Holly,
Autry enjoys his hobbies which are baseball and watching tele
vision.

ROY R. BEATTY works in the Card room at Adrian as a
slubber lender. He and his wife. Hazel have five children. His
hobby is hunting and fishing.
MR. EDWARD F. WILKINSON (left) is proud of his service
record with the American & Efird Mills. Inc. He is employed at
the Rush Plant as a twister tender on the first shift. Ed is a real
pro, having held this same job for the past 18 years.
Mr. Wilkinson and wife. Mrs. Mabel Wilkinson, live on Route
1, Mount Holly. She is employed at the North Belmont School
lunch room. They attend Ebenezer Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson have one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Hayes,
who is also employed at the Rush Plant as a winder tender on
the second shift. She and her husband, Mr. Jack Hayes, live at
Stanley, N. C. They have two children, Michael, nine years of
age, and Pamela, seven.
Mr. Wilkinson said he had no special hobbies but just enjoyed
watching television.
