SPUN FIBERS NEWS
By Bleaka Blair
Its getting the time of year you can
almost smell jonquils, freshly plowed
dirt and onions; Yum Yum ‘little green
onions.’ No better
eating, but most
unpleasant for the
ones you talk to.
You will have to ad-
^ V mit the last snow
we had, "Leap Year
Snow." was white!!
Didn’t we say
folks just couldn’t
stay away from
Spun Fibers? Jas
per Henderson has
come back to his old job as Cardroom
section man. Nice to have you back
Jasper.
Junie Walsh’s son, Roy Lee, was
drafted February 12. He is presently
stationed at Fort Bragg and she went
down to see him the week-end of March
4th.
I suppose the most pleasant looking
person around here these days is Ma
bel LeFevers. She has new upper den
ture’s and they certainly are pretty.
Bet she can eat ‘corn-on-the-cob’ now.
Its always nice to see the happy faces
of those who have been missed because
of sickness and return to work. If I
don’t get everyone’s name mentioned
please forgive the oversight. Its nice
to see Doris Hubbard back after having
surgery, missed you Doris!!
Dula, the janitor, was doing such a
good job cleaning and waxing in the
laboratory the other morning. When he
reached for his wax can he started to
pick up a hair spray can by mistake.
Should have seen him jump when he
realized what he was about to do. Can’t
you just imagine the wool-top in the
lab being teased and sprayed with hair
spray????
Couldn’t convince Roxie Simmons
those Volkswagens wouldn’t get down
and go under anything. Someone pulled
out in front of her, and she hit him
instead of sliding under his car. She
received a rather bad cut on her head.
Glad to have you back to work Roxie.
Alda Hamby has really been having
excitement (for the last little while).
Guess she is strong enough to take it
even if she is a ‘‘granny’’ now. She has
a new grand-daughter, her first grand
child, Andra Lynn Pritchard, who is
5 months old. Her son-in-law, Steve
Pritchard, is in Vietnam. No wonder
Alda’s hair changed color, is it???
Some folks are very fortunate, Al-
phia and Fred McGinnis took off not
long ago and spent a week in Florida.
She could have taken me along for
‘chaperon.’ I feel like that Florida sun
would have been good for me along
about February.
GUESS WHO?????
The company was nice enough to arrange
for all of the News and Views reporters to
meet in Mount Holly on December 14th.
This gave them a
chance to exchange
ideas, see new ma
terials, and receive
very informative ar
rangements. You can
see by the picture
at left who was not
able to attend this
meeting. BLEAKA
BLAIR took the
mumps in both sides
on December 11th. “1
had really looked forward to going to this
meeting, this was one disappointed person.
Although I am very glad the other reporters
had the opportunity to go.”

has Ihe right to swear.
