AMERICAN PLANT NEWS
By Phyllis Black
News time again?? Spring is just
around the corner, I think. Or is it?
I enjoyed the meeting with all our
news reporters at
the Main Office.
After getting ac
quainted with them,
I know why our
magazine is such a
good one.

gun. Os Waldroop won four turkeys
and a ham at the “shoot”, and one of
the winning tickets belonged to me.
Lloyd Proctor held another winning
ticket. Os won 5 times out of 15 shots.
Ruth Jordan has two new great-
grand-children. John Davis recently
retired after working as a quiller
operator for 25 years. He has ten child
ren, who are living all over the coun
try, so I’m sure he’s going to do a lot
of traveling. He has gone to Miami,
Florida now. Lucky John!
Welcome to our new employees:
Rosemary Smith, David Thrift, and
William Radford. Welcome also to:
Steve Norton, trainee, who is visiting
our plant. James P. Helton’s son-in-law
has gone back to Vietnam for a second
time. Hope he’ll return safely. Ray
Henley’s father is able to walk again
after suffering a broken hip. Fred
Gantt is in the hospital. We sure miss
him. Hope he’ll soon be back with us.
Did anyone see a pony riding around
in a stationwagon? Ken Silvers bought
it for his twin sons, and were they sur
prised to see it riding home in the car!
Rosemary Smith is glad this is lean
year. She just might get up enough
nerve to propose to someone.
So long ’til next edition.
