His group was responsible for the loading and: unloading aircraft along with the U.S. Air Force. They ^ere the liaison group for supporting troops ' j^llpatched to the area. Supplies had to be transport^ to troops in Grenada from their base. The supplies consisted of heavy equipment, aircraft, ammunition, and food.. The name of the operation was tagged named “Urgent Furjr”. The occasion was to show the community the new library addition to the City Hall building. Craven Community College is pleased to announce that 100% of the 1983 practical nursing students passed the National Council Licensure Examination. which was administered October 18,1983 in Raleigh. While a passing score for the test is 360, the mean scale ^ score for the students from the College was 641. This class was the first to complete the revised PNE curriculum which was the creation of PNE director Winnie Cotton and Marita Howard and Carolyn Moffett, instructors in PNE and which is being used as a model curriculum by the Department of Community Colleges. Congratulations, students and faculty of the PNE program at Craven Community College. Kathryn Morton On Cruise Departing Miami, Florida, on M.S. Caribe I Commodore Lines “The Happy Ship” November 26, Mrs. Kathryn Morton took a Caribbean Cruise. She visited the ports of St. Thomas Virgin Islands, San. Juan, Pueiin Rico; and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Daily activities were planned for the cruise, and the vacationers enjoyed fashion shows, swimming, masquerade party, of which Kathryn has a certificate to prove she participated, bingo parties, disco entertainment, dancing, and off-ship tours of each of the ports. Mrs. Morton enjoyed Coral World and an island tour on St. Thomas; followed by a night club tour in San Juan where she viewed the Ice Pollies, and finally spent two and one-half hours on the Cable Car Tour at Port of Puerto Plato. . The highlights of the cruise, according to Mrs. Morton, were visiting Puerto Plato, the cable car ride to the mountain top, and the outstanding entertainment aboard the ship. Her one regret was that her husband, Mike, was unable to accompany her due to his business obligations in Vanceboro. Mrs. Kathryn Morton
