Augusta Jaskson Claude Alan Lee, Jr. Educators of the Month The New Bern-Craven County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the New Bern-Craven County Board of Education spotlights “Edu cators of the Month” for January 1984. Mr. Claude A. Lee, Jr., Government/Econo mics teacher at J.T. Barber Junior High School and Mrs. Augusta Jackson, Fourth Grade teacher at Bridgeton Elementary School. Mr. Lee resides with his wife at 721 Broad Street, New Bern, N.C. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Augustine College, Raleigh, N.C., and did his graduate work at Nova University, Davie, Florida, Mr. Lee is a member of the National Association of December Graduates at UNC-CH The following students from Craven County are December 1983 graduates at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Cheryl Lynn Jordan, B.S.B.A. of Vanceboro, Markita Alberta Moore M.P.H., Gwendolyn Delore Simmons, B.S. Phar., Christopher Thad Dixon, B.S. Phar., all of New Bern. Student Council Activity Advisors, The Classroom Teachers Association and National. Association of Social Studies. He is co-advisor of the Pep Club at J.T. Barber. Mrs. Jackson resides at 1400 Red Robin Lane, New Bern, N.C. with her husband and son. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts Degree from East Carolina University, Green ville, N.C. She is currently DRIVE SAmur Chairman of the School Base Committee for Identifying Academically Gifted Students and Chairman of the Committee for the Computer In-Service-Training for Teachers. February 2,1984, Page 7 WCMS Library Club Met By JO-LYNN CRAWFORD The West Craven Middle School Library Club held a meeting January 26, 1984 in the Library. President Lisa Bland called the meeting to order. Secretary Lisa Murrell read the minutes of our last meeting. The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. Jordan, she talked to us about electing more committees. Then Vice President Andrea Whaley adjourned the meeting.
