Page 12, West Craven Highlights, August 30, 1984 Dover, Ft. Barnwell, Cove City From The Mayor’s Office By P. G. Whitley Work on the new town hall and fire department is going according to schedule. The town offices wiii soon be in new quarters and the Dover Fire Department wili be occupying the oid town office building. The town of Dover is hiring iocal workers for its construction and remodeling while much of the fire department's work is being done by volunteer help. Citizens are reminded that the town board meets every second Tuesday in each month. Office hours for the town offices are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. As for Cable TV for Dover, Cove City, and Fort Barnwell residents, the town is still waiting for the Craven County Commissioners to secure a release from Tar River Communications of these three areas. The next Story Hour will be on Thursday, September 6 at 4:30 p.m. All children preschool-sixth grades are invited to attend. The movies to be shown at the Story Hour will be The Tortoise and the Hare([||f i Roller Skate Safety. Then Mary Delamar will read an hilarious story entitled. Mother Told Me So, by Carol A. Marron.
