Peace College Welcomes Freshmen Among the approximately 250 freshmen women enrolling at Peace College this fall are Vanceboro area residents Cindy Register, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Register of Cove City; and Bridget Sutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney M. Sutton of Cove City. Classes at the Presbyterian two-year college for women began Tuesday, August 21. New students arrived on Sunday, August 19, and returning students arrived Monday, August 20. Opening-of-school acitivites include the annual President’s Reception honoring freshmen on Monday, August 20, and the 113th academic convocation on Tuesday, August. 21. Peace has enrolled approximately 465 students for the fall semester. The women work toward an associate degree in liberal arts, business or music.
