The pastor and officers are inviting all members and friends to join them in the worship services. Rev. Aldridge will deliver the eleven A.M. message and his Choir will render the music. Pride of Ft. Barnwell Chapter 515 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a regular meeting at the Masonic Lodge Hall on Saturday afternoon at 2;00 P.M. All members are urged to meet and be on time. The Worthy Matron is Ms. Alice Mitchell and Mr. John Z. Smith is Worthy Patron. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Richardson of Baltimore, Md. were the ‘ recents guests of Mrs. Roberta Johns and Mrs. Pauline Cobert. They came especially to visit their Aunts who were recuperating at home from a stay in the hospital. They visited Mrs. Pearl Koonce, Mrs. Viola Harris and other relatives and friends while in Ft. Barnwell. The Northwest "A" District 2 union meeting will be held at Live .riOak F.W.B. Church in Bridgeton, N.C. on Aug. 29-31. Rev. J.O. r Dawson is president and will be in charge. Vanceboro P.H. Church News by Reba Mitchell The Youth Crusade during Aug. 4-8 was great. Ricky Buck did 9; wonderful job as director. The unity of all the workers was 'wonderful also. The average attendance wa^52. Sat. night Aug. 16 we all enjoyed a Benefit Supper. Proceeds will go for our Missionaries' Christmas gifts. Along the pathway of life many times we leave unfinished tasks that should not be left to wait for the next day ora latertime. Many times people have found they waited too long. McCoy Cove City — Bertha Sutton McCoy, 80, died Thursday at home. The funeral was Sunday at Cove City M.B. Church with the Rev. Randy Hawkins officiated. Burial was in the Cove City cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie M. White of Dover; two sisters, Carrie McCoy and Helen Casper, both of Cove City; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. Mrs. McCoy was a retired service station, grocery store owner and operator. She was a member of the Cove City M.B.
