re-enactment group met last weekend at Twin
Lakes Campground.
Unlike their historical role models, these sol
diers carry their families along f(»r tlie events.
'J'he women and children play an important
part in the demonstration and lecture portions
of the programs.
Making the camp area as authentic and
homelike as possible is the first job. After that,
socializing with weekend friends is the order of
the day.

Washington Social Security
office, said over 1,500 people in
the Washington area receive over
$6 million annually under the
disability program. He said the
extended entitlement period
offered the opportunity to
attempt a return to work with
“re-entitlement” if they were not
successful.
The law requires that the dis
ability be expected to last at least
12 months or end in death to be
eligible for payments. A person
must also meet an earnings re
quirement. Under the Sup
plemental Security Income
Program there is no earnings re
quirement but the applicant
must meet certain income levels.

Williamston had success with
its starting offensive and defen
sive alignments, but West Craven
was inconsistent on both sides of
the ball.
“Right now. Fm just looking
for some consistency,” Jordan
said. “On offense, we’d move the
ball on one possession. Then, on
the next one, we would sputter. It
was like that on defense as well.
The whole scrimmage was really
good preparation for us.”
Jordan did say his team’s en
thusiasm and intensity levels
had risen several notches above
last week’s scrimmage.
“The kids really went all-out on
both sides,” he said. “Based on
last week, we were pleased with
that aspect. And we did some
things I liked and a lot more
things I didn’t like.
“We’ve still got a lot of work to
do — no question about it.”
West Craven travels to North
Pitt for an 8 p.m. game Friday
night. The Eagles are looking to
improve on last year’s 7-4-1 re
cord.
