All the whispering among the girls and Miss Davis’ secretive scurrying aroung reminds
us that the Seniors are to give the beautiful and impressive Shristmas Pageant on
Friday night, December 18« All the girls■involved are working hard, even to the
point of converting ordinary dish rags into gleaming coats of amcr, and of course
•we are expecting the usual effective results# For those who have never seen it es
pecially, the. ,Pageant will prove to be me^|3rable. But of ,oc vtrse that is not the only
high light of the evening, vh ich will be topped off by the Christmas party in the
Aud-toriun* If you think Silly Symphonies are screams, you had better not attend the
Wiristmas party. You'li crack a couple of ribs ai^ startle your ancestors for sever
al gonarations-back with your chortles and shouts#
TOxy was Miss Harris so tenderly handling a horrible looking replica of a Chinese
lion? Could it bo that it resembled any familiar cargjus perscnality? .
Have you over soon a mermaid dressed in a dripping gray jorsoy bathing suit? Well,,
positively, thoro were swaixiis of then at the Signa-Mu Swiming Meet Saturday night.
Offering them close competition was Mr# Tucker, ■^oso chaims were considerably enhanced
by an all white costume with white accosscr jes# But startlingly meimaidish were
Marthci Watts, who swan under water for 50 yards; June Brogan, who plunged .49 feet;
and our divers, Kitty Estes, Mena Flening, and Martha Watts again. The Mu’s won by
63 to 56, but both teams aro to bo cemnended on their fine spirit and splendid train
ing#

Dr. J. C. Lyons, of the University of North Carolina, paid a visit to St,’Marv's last
