A Look At Alumnus

Tim Ford, 1965 graduate of BAC,
is a special agent with the
Gentleman Tim Ford, a 1965
graduate, today fights organized
crime in Pennsylvania. A
Special Agent of the Penn
sylvania Crime Commission,
Tim spends many arduous hours
with his colleagues planning the
demise of five organized crime
families which affect the State.
Born in Summit, New Jersey,
in 1942, Tim attended the Abbey
from 1961-1965. Upon graduation
he began work with the Public
Health Service. Much of his time
involved the investigation of
venereal disease victims in an
attempt to isolate and control the
disease. Tim worked in this
program in Charlotte, North
Carolina and Richmond,
Virginia. His wife Nancy recalls
that on many nights he was
required to interview contacts in
just about every place in the city,
causing her some concern.

cessfully completed the U.S.
Treasury’s Law Enforcement
Training School. In fact,
because of his outstanding
performance at the school, he
received a letter of com
mendation from the U.S.
Treasury Department and was
awarded an expert marksman
citation from the school. Tim
was one of the first Special
Agents hired by the Penn
sylvania Crime Commission and
has in only two years jumped
from a Special Agent II to a
Special Agent IV. There are only
five categories of Agents on the
Commission. (It is interesting to
note that one time 25 percent of
the. Pennsylvania Crime Com
mission was made up of Abbey
Alumni.)
Tim is married to the former
Nancy Lucretia M. Coan, also
Agent Ford meets with the
Crime Commission to go over
from New Jersey. They have
two children, Beth and J.P., and
live in Exton, Pennsylvania.
Tim was selected to appear in
the 1970 edition of Most Out
standing Young Men in America,
and won the distinction of being
the designer of the U. S. National
Tuberculin Testing Format.
