Keception Held Also 250 See Abbey Play In New Jersey Page 7 - CROSSROADS - April IfTS February 16 following the Seton Hall - Belmont Abbey basketball game, an alumni reception was held in the Galleon Room of Seton Hall’s student center. Approximately 250 alumni and friends joined in a night of socializing and reminiscing. Although the Abbey team lost the basketball game, the alumni were still excited about having the opportunity to see the Crusaders play in New Jersey. Coach Bobby Hussey in troduced the team to the guests and told them of the success of the basketball program. Jay Briody, alumni director, updated the alumni, several from the early 50’s, about the many changes that have taken place at the College. Professor Jack Hanahan, named “Am bassador of Good Will” for the evening, also addressed the group. Everyone enjoyed the evening and visiting with old friends. Due to the success of this evening, a fall social is being considered The College extends a warm “Thank You” to the following alumni, who were helpful in organizing the reception.
