What college are you attending? Georgia Institute of Technology What is your anticipated major? Computer Engineering What were your extracurriculars? Track and field. Jazz band. School improvement group Hardest part about NCSSM? The hardest part was finding the perfect balance between having an active social life and maintaining satisfactory grades. There was a lot of give and take at times. Katie Dektar What college did you apply to? I applied to Stanford, University of Chicago, Duke University, and Swarthmore College. What college are you attending? I am going to attend Stanford University. What is your anticipated major? I do not know what I will major in — possibly Biology, Mathematics, or Neuroscience. What were your extracurriculars? Ultimate Frisbee club and classical piano. Hardest part about NCSSM? The hardest part about NCSSM was not having enough hours in the day after homework to do all the fun stuff that I wanted to. There are a lot of cool people and many fun activities here with which I would have loved to spend more time. Charles Gilbert What college did you apply to? I applied to Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, US- Cali, UNCCH, NCSU, and Illinois Institute of Technology. What college are you attending? The college I am attending is Cornell University. What is your anticipated major? My anticipated major is Engineering or Entrepreneurship. What were your extracurriculars? Wind Ensemble, Track, HOSA club, DYAO and German Club. Hardest part about NCSSM? The hardest part was trying to manage time wisely because I would usually procrastinate at times. Michelle What college did you apply to? The hardest part about NCSSM was missing my parents, relatives, and friends back home terribly.
