1 PAGE EIGHT THE LEXHIPEP XOVEMBER 15, 1924 THE OPEN FORUM now ABOUT SOME SENIOR PKIVIIiEGES? The senior class has now reached the place where some senioi privi leges would be very much appreciat ed. During our three previous years of toil and tough school work we have all often looked forward to the time when we would have at least some of the privileges, that we feel are due to any class of seniors. One reason that we have so hopefully looked for ward to this time is that ^he senior classes going before us have enjoy ed senior privileges. We *'ei;l, there fore, entitled to the same. Have we not done as much as they to earn it? We really feel that we have done more, for more is being required of us this year. I know that I am voicing the opinion of the ■'.\hole sen ior class in this. Here’s hoping that this will meet with favorable results! —A ?ENIOR If * * WANTS BE'rTER ARR.XNGEMENT if followed will turn out for us a good team next spring. Lexington High School needs a baseball team to rep- re.sent her and carry her on to championship. A baseball team is just as much a part of High School Athletics life as a basketball, foot ball, or track team. Four years ago Lexington had a good high school baseball team, but since then interest seems to have dropped concerning this sport. We have nearly three hundred students in our high school, and why can’t we make a baseball team out of them? Every boy knows the elements of baseball, and with a little training we can develop a team capable of winning a state champion ship. We have the material. Now let’s start something, and bring home the bacon. —JOE MOPPITT. 5!e^^Kmsee^se€^9}SIe;eis^ei^s^eiee^ Mrs. "Walser—knocking at door— “Eight o’clock! Eight o’clock.” Beck—sleepily—‘'^Did you? I note that some of the most important articles are placed upon the back pages while some of less significance are put on the front page. I believe in putting first things fii\st. It seems to me also that it would be a good idea to classify the work of the different organizations. Take athletics, for instance, would it not be a good plan to place all arti cles relating to that subject under one head? There are also other or ganizations in our school which are worthy of a column of their own and should be recognized. What do you say al)OUt this, Mr. Editor? Is it not a good plan? —CIAl''TON CONRAD. * * * JOE WANTS .\ BASEBALI/ TEA.M Mr. Editor: I wish to call attention to the lack of a baseball team in our High School. Although this article is leather e.arly for this kind of sport. You Use Ice Cream Anyhow—Why Not Use the Best?
