One is the telephone and the other is mar riage. “They are new to me. because they are alike,” he said. “You have to give a ring before you can tele phone or marry, but you don’t always get the right party in either case and you can get disconnected from either without dilHculty.” The Lexington High School boy walked up to the magazine counter and said to the girl there. “Have you ‘Life’?” “Judge for yourself,” she replied, giving him a "Punch.” Dear Editor:— The last number of the LEXHIPEP is the best yet. Every number has Improved since the first. This reader finds enjoyment and real school pr.de to see such an attractive magazine coming from the students of our school. The Robbins School page was splendid and we hope they will make it so bright the High school students will have to bestir themselves to keep up their good reputation as writers. As one writer has suggested the make up of the paper might be more attractive in the arrangement of var ious departments and advertisements It is a real pleasure to some of us parents and teachers to know we will have more literary work among the students. Debating and Literary So cieties ought not to be neglected. The brain, speech and memory should be trained to activity as well as the phy sical body. Athletics are necessary, to a certain extent, but so is mental training. Every parent or patron of our city schoois certainly must be proud and pleased at the splendid work our fa culty and student body are doing this year. Our schools are now beginning to accomplish what some of us have longed for during the past years of struggle for building and equipment.
