How- the visitors began to rough it and it seems as if they got the "orst end of the bargain, for in the tetnainder of the game they only ®oored 11 points to our 10. ^tom start to finish, Lexington ^®ver had a chance: however, Lester '^^thart proved to the small crowd o-t he was a worthy brother of an center by dropping the lea- Tl^^ for eight of the eleven points. ® same was rough, and was mar- hy many fouls, especially by Har- Srave and Chitty, who seemed to too much foot-ball in their sys tems. ^ may be stated that there is not •otter man on the squad. This was not only the first game of the season, but the first in two seasons for Lexington. In the opening minute of play, John Newsom, of Lexington, looped the leather for the first score, but the Denton boys soon got busy and piled a good lead, which they held until the closing minute of play, when Har grave tied the score W'ith a shot from near mid-field, and again,' dropped in a foul after the time was up. The Denton team, showed the best passing game, but they were not so sure of the basket as the locals. For Lexington, Everhart, Chitty, and Har grave played stellar ball.
