id v; FEBRUARY 6, 1925 THE LEXHIPEP PAGE SEVEN THE AIjPHA GAM3IA lATERARY SOCIETY The Alpha Gamma Literary Society was held January 13, 1925, in Room II. The business was discussed. The program this time consisted of a de bate, Resolved: “That a Billy-Goat is More Dangerous Than a Hat Pin.” The speaker on the affirmative was Jennie Lee Pickett and on the nega tive, Edna Chaney. The negative side won the debate, after which John Cartee read some jokes. The presi dent then appointed a new program committee consisting of Jewell Maness, Cornelia Pleasants and Cora Mae Hege. As there was no further business the society was dismissed by the president. The Alpha Gamma Literary So ciety met January 27, in Room II. The president urged the members to bring the money for their pins. Mr. Hunt made a talk about the coming triangular debate, and urged all to join in and try to help Lexington win this year. The program for this time was a debate. Resolved: “That all Protestant Churches in America Should be United Under One Head.” The speakers on the af firmative side were Ina Hunt and Helen Pickard, and on the negative, Frances Pickett and Miiry Wilson. The president appointed the same program committee for next time, and as the time w.as up the society was dismissed. ALPHA ZETA PINS The Alpha Zeta Literary Society has at last decided on pins. The pins are octagon shaped, trimmed in gold, with blue engraved in the center and lettering: “A. Z. ’25.” A large num ber of pins were ordered. catch your Miss Martin—“Ever husband flirting?” Airs.
