The club voted to have several new members initiated at the next meet ing, and also made arrangements for some Bible study books. The most important thing discussed and decid ed on was a Hi-Y banquet on March 11, to which the local club will invite the members of the High Point, Salis bury and Thomasville Hi-Y Clubs. THE LEXHIPEP FEBRUARY 20, 1925 composed of Herbert Waters and Foil Essick was victorious. It was very funny and was enjoyed by all. There was a report of the Bovine committee but Fred didn’t have much to say. The meeting was then adjourned. The Alpha Gamma Literary Society The Alpha Gamma Literary Society met February 3, in Room II. The business was discussed, and the so cial committee gave a report. After this an interesting program was given which was enjoyed by veeryone. At the conclusion of the program the president dismissed the society. I Ha Ila Campfire One of the best attended meetings of the I Ha Ha Campfire chapter, was at the home of Florence Swaim on Wednesday evening, February 11. Af ter the business session refreshments were served. The circle will meet on the following Wednesday, February, 18, with Miss Marguerite Ebelein. SENIOR NOTES On Tuesday, February 10, the Senior class had a meeting. Cloyd Philpott, president of the class, presided. Or ders were taken for invitations which have already been selected. Mae Ves tal Leonard was selected Class Mas cot. The colors are green and white; fiower, white rose. The motto of the class is: “Build for character and not for fame.’’ The members of the Senior Class are glad to have Miss Walker back after her recent illness. They hope she will be able to continue teaching throughout the year without further interruptions. In the last issue of the LEXHIPEP a statement was made that the senior play would be given Mbrch 3rd. The correct date is Mferch 6th. JUNIOR NOTES The Alpha ZcUi Meets The Alpha Zeta had an interesting meeting on Thursday, February 12. Plans were made for the party of the next night. Afterwards, there was a debate: Resolved: “That A Billy- Goat is More Dangerous Than A Hat Pin.” The Alpha Gamma had debat ed this before and the negative side won, but this time the affirmative SOPHMORE NOTES Not much has been said about the Sophomore class this year; however, we are not mad about it, so here is a little confessing: The first day Miss Walker was ab sent from Latin Class, we taught and were praised, but that went to our heads and the next day we received a very much enjoyed lecture on the subject of “When you can work and when you can’t.” The next day or SO we cooled down. When Miss Walker was absent the second time we obtained quite a re putation for singing, especially “Some, body Stole My Gal.” The singing was fine while it lasted, but the after ef fect wasn’t so pleasant, as we had to stay in one hour for our lovely solos! The Juniors had a class meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss the entertainment to be given to the Sen iors. A hayride was dicided on, so all you seniors be ready when the next full moon rolls round, and don t have another engagement. Get you a beau or girl if you can. (but don’t expect the Juniors to provide them) and we’ll have loads of fun. We have had quite a bit of fun read ing “As You Like It;” that is, it was fun to read, but we can’t say that we loved the memory work. What makes Alice Myrtle such a brilliant History Student? Needed: a detective in Room 4 for spying. The Latin 2 A girls are making a success of their cafeteria and we are hoping they will stay successful. THOSE FRESHMEN Great rivalry in the Junior class as to who can draw posters more like the seniors. The Junior president called a meet ing of the class Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of distributing tickets to be sold for the play, “A Bachelor’s Honeymoon,” to be given at the Lex ington Theatre Monday afternoon and evening. SARAH FRANCES VESTAL A proud little beauty is Sarah Vestal, She placed herself upon a pedestal; From all the boys she held aloft. Till ’long came Kenneth and knock ed her off. DOROTHY MYERS A dear little girl is our darling Dot, She always laughs and talks a lot; But on the days that we have test. She’s always solemn with the rest. JENNIE LEE PICKETT A curly-headed beauty is Jennie Lee As all the hounds in “Hi” can see; She laughs and she flirts with all the boys. And her Latin teacher she surely an noys. EDNA CHAN'EY A dear little girl is Edna Chaney, Of all things she hates is a day that
