The year’s record for the Jackets Is six wins, two ties, and three defeats. The first game of the season, played at home with Salisbury, was prob ably the toughest. Children's Home, conference champions of last year, came to meet a strong Lexington team, but neither team was able to score. Although Lexington came out on the short end of the score, she matched the High Point Blsons’ play throughout the game, as the Jackets tasted their first defeat of the season, 14-7. The next two games for the Jackets were easy ones, the team defeating Barium Springs 25-0 and Monroe 46-0. Reldsvllle proved to be a rugged team but was ,trampled 19-0 by the locals. Thomasvllle and Concord followed, and the Jackets defeated both teams by the same score, 12-7, which paved the way for the finals with Albemarle.
