S. will be sending her graduates out into the world to college or to work, but there will be some L. H. S. Alumni who will be graduating from college. Dick Peeler and Becky Leonard will bid farewell to Catawba this June. Greensboro College seems to be losing three of her prize- seniors this year. They are Jeanne Williamson Wall (who incidentally was in Who’s Who in American Colleges), Betty McCrary, Johnnie’s big sister, and irearl hege Reynolds. Duke loses one of its lettermen this year of whom L. H. ,S. is very proud. Fletcher Wall, Jeanne’s husband, fin ishes at Duke this year. Clemson’s Tigers will lose one of the test lootball captains that they have ever had. “Chip” Clark, who also starred on the L. H. S. team, will bid farewell to Clemson this year. When the commencement exercises are field this year at W.C.U.N.C. Anne White will be receiving her diploma. From Wake Forest, L. H. S. will have one of its former football stars to graduate, Joe Tate. Meredith will lose one of its su perlatives this summer, and she is none other than Lexington's Jean Griffith. For the first time in quite a while a Lexington Hi Alumni will gradu ate from William and Mary. Betty Dillon will receive her diploma from this historic college in June. Last but certainly not least, Caro lina will lose one of its greatest per sonalities of all time. Ed Easter, who is well known in Lexington, will re ceive his degree in Music and Dra matics this year. Also graduating this summer are Enid Phillips and Ann McLendon, Mary’s big sister and graduate of Meredith, will receive her degree in Library Science. Needless to say, in addition to her 118 graduates, L. H. S. is exceedingly proud of her alumni college grads.
