H. S. “Struts Her Stuff” To the left is little Miss Lynn Brown, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Brown, Jr., both of which ars alumni of Lexington High School. We must say that she attracts more attention than all of our nine cheer leaders together (no discredit to our efficient cheerleaders). Believe it or not, she can go through just as many antics and capers as the cheerleaders can, with just a little more added Also, Lynn is the nieoe of Amelia Brown, high school senior and cheer leader. The LEXHIPEP predicts that she will take her "aunt’s” place in about thirteen years. Below, left, is little Miss Bobbie Bruton, younges’t daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruton. For two years Bobbie has “strutted her stuff” as bandmaster in the parades and on the football field. Perhaps no one band member did mops to win the jrand prize at the Tobacco Festival n Richmond ’than did Bobbie when, r four hours, she helped entertain housands of people. Bobbie is the sis- 3r of Henrietta, a senior, Emma, a ophomore and majorette, and Alice, freshman and majorette; and L.H.S. is glad that she can reserve the service of the Brutons for years to F.H.A. Active ELECTS OFFICERS The firs-t meeting of the Future Homemakers of America this year was called to order on Thursday, October 19. Rochelle Thomason was elected the club’s sponsor for the Homecom ing parade. Mrs. C. M. Wall and Mrs. G. A. Thomason were elected chapter mothers of the club. The fol lowing officers were elected: Evelyn Leonard, president; Gene Wall, vice- president; Rochelle Thomason, secre tary; Barbara Graver, treasurer; Glo ria Griffith, reporter; Wanda Ever hart, historian; Sue Potts, parliamen tarian; and Jeanette Leonard, song- leader. in Club Work HOLDS DISTRICA RALLY The Seventh District Rally of the Future Homemakers of America was held at Thomasville October 14. During the business session a dis trict song leader was elected. At the close of the morning session a picnic lunch was enjoyed by ihe group. Dr. Lyda Gordon Shivers discussed “Boy and Girl Relations” ’at the afternoon session. Those attending from Lexington were: Sue Mitchell, Gloria Griffith, Gene Wall, Kathryn Clark, Barbara Riggins, Mildred Hyatt, Pat Street- man, Barbara Graver, Sue Potts, Ro- chello Thomason, Sandra Wilkerson and Nancy Ann Leonard. Compliments of LEXINGTON ICE & COAL CO. Compliments of BARBET MILLS Inc. THE GIFT SHOP Cathell Building LEXINGTON, N. C. come. Below, rigt, are the three different managers of the L.H.S. football squad: Tommy Snyder, Buddy Link, and Hayden Hooper. These boys are re sponsible for the care of all the equip ment, packing supplies for trips, and doing anything from a water boy to an M.D. These boys do and take a lot of backstage play that isn’t all smooth sailing, but nevertheless they wouldn’t swap their jobs for any other job in school. At the right, last and least, but by no means the least in importance, is little Miss Bonnie Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Belford Wagner, who a’t the ripe age of fourteen months, attends all games at home and abroad. Bonnie is the future band director for L.H.S., and at any time to give her daddy a rest, she can be seen pointing her one-inch forefinger and directing the band or tooting her one- foot horn to give her mother a rest. At other times, she dances and prances, imitating the majorettes and cheerleaders. The personalities pictured on this page are a show within themselves (not including the managers). G. W.
