By Barbara Brodie The Prowl is certainly a service to students of Henderson Institute. Working together, we are constant ly observant of the news concern ing the students and the faculty of H. I. Under the sponsorship of Mr. E. N. Faucette, we work as a team to publish a paper that will be of interest to everyone who reads it. At the beginning of school, the staff must begin pre paring themselves for a busy year. The business staff takes care of the paper financially, by selling advertisements. The editorial staff, concentrates on writing future ar ticles, editorials, and even the less serious sections of the paper. This extraordinary newspaper, “The Panther Prowl’’ is a printed example of the standards of H. J. Its fine staff deserves a sincere congratulation from each member and students for its service and ability to arouse the attention of the reader. Each year, the edition of the Panther Prowl is dedicated to all who read it, and the classes of H. I. The issue is especially cherished and remembered by everyone who reads it. By Sandra Peace and Carolyn McKnight If today were your last day on earth, how would you spend it? Would you linger and mope around or would you settle for a quiet day with little Johnnie Walker Red? Well, here are our fellow students’ replies of how they would spend their last day on earth. Clara Boyd: If this was my last day on earth I’d stay with Stan ley. Doris Henderson: My philosophy is never to waste time. Therefore I would eat, pray, call on the one I love, and die. Brenda Glover: First I would find my man Sinclair Jones, and get with Johnnie Walker Red and have myself a ball. Gladys Harris: First I would find my man. We would both go to the lake with our brown bag and party all day long. Brenda Williams: I would go downtown and by me a slack suit and a bathing suit, go to the lake, take a swim, get me a glass of milk and scotch, sip on it, and have fun with someone special. Ruby Bullock: My gang and I would go to the lake, take some swinging music, and of course Mr. Johnnie Walker Red, then, I would live it on out of this world. Delores Alston: If this was my last day on earth I would get plen ty of good food and eat while I am with my man, along with a few other things. Lou Betty Durham: I would be worrying where I’m going to be the next day. Badger Brame: If it was pos sible I would buy a Mach I Mua- tang and go to Hawaii.
