ANSWERS: V GALE MACKEY —General Mechanic- Maintenance Area —Resides on Rosen- wald Lane in Brevard —Married —3 children —Just under 6 years Company Service—Linda McCants of Account ing is his sister. “I try to do a good job and abide by all rules to prevent product contami nation. Certain lubricants are taboo. I refrain from using these. I keep my tools clean when I go into a clean area and always wear shoe cov'-? when ever necessary. When I work on corner rounders, I try to give an extra good job. I’ve spent several hours sharpen ing and aligning them to get a good sharp cut. Even when its not called for on a Work Order, I personally inspect moving equipment such as chains to pick up places where they might rub on guards causing metal particles to contaminate film.” DICK FORD —Casting Operator “B” Shift —Resides in Pisgah Forest on the Asheville Highway — Married with 2 children — 4J4 years Company Ser vice. ‘‘We’ve got certain rules and regula tions to go by. Under housekeeping rules, we keep the area in the cleanest shape possible. In each job I do, there’s some degree of cleanliness involved. Right now I’m inspecting the base for any defects. If I see something wrong, I immediately call the trouble spot so the problem can be corrected as soon as possible. (2) See that we have the best equipment to do the job expected and keep it properly maintained. (3) Provide the necessary technical oersonel to continually work on methods to further improve quality. (4) Establish the standards of quality and follow up to insure they are un derstood and never compromised.” KATHY KEENER — Stenographer — Coating Area —Resides at Cedar Mt. on the Du Pont Road —Single—1 year Company Service—Lee Keener Main tenance Area General Mechanic is her dad. ‘‘I type highlights to inform people how we have done during the past week. I also type and issue manu facturing experiments to continually improve quality. More personally, I always use the shoe cleaners at area entry points to keep from tracking harmful dirt into the clean areas.” ‘‘I’m letting my hair turn gray. Ser iously though, the entire Finishing Area is totally committed toward con tinually improving and upgrading every facet of product flow.
