SHAPIRO TO ATTEND The Brevard Plant is planning a 20th Anniversary Open House the week of October 3, 1977. Irving S. Shapiro, Chairman of the Board, will be present on October 4th to address employees. Employees, their families, and guests may see the plant from 5 to 9 PM on three weekday even ings while the general public will be invited on Saturday, October 8th. Planning is underway by a Steering Committee headed by Ralph Breed love and Roger Minnick. Further details will be covered in future issues of Fotofax. IRVING S. SHAPIRO HOLIDAY SCHEDULE . . . Taking job shortcuts WHAT TO DO TO WORK SAFELY . . . The 3 best ways to avoid hazards are: 1. Follow established safety rules for the job 2. Improve personal attitudes about job safety 3. Get more and better job safety training Thanks to these and a list of additional survey opinions, the Safety Office and Operating Areas are developing programs for Plantwide application to reduce all hazards and help make employees more aware of them in their jobs.
