EMPLOYEES EXPRESS OPINIONS
ON PLANT HAZARDS SURVEY
Results of a plantwide hazards survey,
completed by nearly 500 employees, offer
some valuable opinions on what can be
done to make Brevard Plant jobs safer.
According to most popular opinions,
here is . . .
WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR . . .
The 3 most hazardous activities are:
1. Handling materials
2. Working around moving equipment
3. Taking job shortcuts
WHAT TO DO TO WORK SAFELY . . .
The 3 best ways to avoid hazards are:
1. Follow established safety rules for
the job
2. Improve personal attitudes about job
safety
3. Get more and better job safety training
Thanks to these and a list of additional
survey opinions, the Safety Office and
Operating Areas are developing programs
for Plantwide application to reduce all
hazards and help make employees more
aware of them in their jobs.
