Married: Gregg and Margaret (Pangle) Fore: May 31st. ★ Ray
Hyder’s sons Robert and Eric have both earned their God and
Country Awards — Robert, 8, earned the “God and Me” award
as a Tiger Cub. Eric, 10, received the “God and Family” award,
then was awarded the “Arrow of Light,” highest possible for
Webelos. Eric has now entered the next level of Scouting. ★
Kelvin Phillips finished in the top half of the Mr. North Carolina
contest in Greensboro — he’s been pumping iron seriously for
several years, now. ★ Jimmy Jacobs and Reba were married,
July 4, at High Falls. ★ Finishing Area’s Bill Hill is involved
in setting up a Hazardous Materials Response Team for
Henderson county. Retiree Roy Middleton stopped in. When
asked how things are out on the farm, Roy said “Quiet,” with
a big grin. ★ Steve Sommerville and Vicki were married on
Valentine’s Day. ★ Cathy Wood is engaged to marry to
Michael Greene, September 20. ★ Many people prefer that we
not publish information about weddings and births. We respect
your wishes. But for goodness sake, let the personnel office
know about major family changes. ★ Welcome to Adam
Wesley Garren — Steve and Teresa’s son was born August 1.
★ James Kirby completed advanced Non-Com training for his
duties with the 211th MP Company in Clyde. Jim is a Staff
Sergeant. ★ Clyde and Patti Stahl have another son — Aaron
Daniel, born July 9. ★ Just-a-housewife Department: Barbara
Hallovvell, wife of retired Research Director Tom, has a book
on the market about their experiences in restoring a 100 + year
old log cabin. Beverly Atwood and a friend have constructed
a fantastic gingerbread house to enter in a national contest.
Yeah, but Ken did the plywood it sits on ... ★ Mike Johnson
has received his BS Degree in management. ★ It’s a girl,
Monica Elizabeth, for Ed Smith and Mary. ★ Talk about late-
breaking stories: FOTOFAX now reports Ken and Angie
Johnson’s daughter, Stephanie — born last December 11. ★
John and Ann Hemphill were married 12/31 ... ★ Mike and Ann
Limbaugh have a baby girl, Amanda, born 7/8/86 ★ What’s your

Yvonne Collins married Doug — Again — on August 1. “Love
