moundsman, allowed only five hits, but
not being supported by his teammates,
was unable to keep High Point in check.
Greensboro started off and scored in
each of the first two innings. After these
innings they never again threatened to
score. Fuqua, High Point pitcher, was
the feature of the game. His jiitching
was very spectacular at all times.
Foust, Mann and Ingram, for High
Point, were very effective with the bat,
each getting a double. Caudle, local
second baseman, was the only man to get
an extra-base swat.

The Twin City lads defeated the G. H.
S. nine Saturday, April 25, at Cone park

was due to superior batting and fielding.
Bennett, head Greensboro pitcher, held
the mound for seven innings, then was
relieved by Taylor.
McAlister, twin pitcher, held the locals
to eight scattered hits. Watkins and
Petree led the Twins in batting, each
getting three hits out of five trips to bat.
Maus and Burroughs were the leading
batters for Greensboro. Captain Wyrick,
Greensboro first baseman, played the
entire game without a hit. Greensboro’s
defeat was due to the lack of timely
hitting.
