Miss Kneece’s home room, 306, under
the leadership of President Daphne
Lewis, topped the other P.-T. A. cam
paigners with 66 memberships, winning
first prize, a theatre partj- at the Caro
lina.
Miss Burnside’s home room, 23, fol
lowed closely in second place with 62
memberships, and will be rewarded with
tickets to the National theatre, instead
of the previously announced popsicle
party. Room 311, which received 42
memberships and third place, will be
given a popsicle party by the P.-T. A.
A total of 679 paid memberships were
brought in, making an amount of
$169.75.

In the run-off held Friday by semes

resentative, Bill Hodgin won a close
victory over Clarice Crutchfield. Be
cause of a tie in the votes in the elec
tion held the week before, a run-off be
tween the two candidates was neces
sary. The other officers of semester III
are Tom Carpenter, president; Bill
Brinklej", vice-president; and Diane
Page, secretary. All of these officers
