Greensboro Captures
French Alliance Cup
For the second consecutive year, the
S(*nior high school French team, com-
po.sed of Uachael Baxter. Aurelia Dun-
stan, Dianne Page. Bill Brinkley, and
Douglass Hunt won the annual French
contest sponsored by the Alliance Fran-
cai.se of Greensboro.
The organization, a groui) of local
! people interested in the French lan-
guag(*. presented the cui) to the team,
which, under the direction of Mis.s
Estelle Iditchell. triumphed over all
other contestants in the final elimina
tions last month. The cup, now on
display in Miss Mitchell’s room, will
become the perman(*nt property of
Greensboro high school if next year's
team is as successful as this year’s
