They xetum ,to their hideout after taking the dead body and depositing it in the school swim ming pool, convinced of a per fect alibi. ^ Everything’s fine, until—the pool is emptied for cleaning, and the body isn’t there! At this point, DIABOLIQUE reaches a feverish pitch of suspense, and, if you’re capable of any feeling, you’ll start biting those fingernails off three at a time. Female Athletes Of GHS Attend Play Day at WC Girls from the GHS physical education classes are attending a play day at Woman’s College to day to compete in ping-pong, bowling, volleyball, and relay races. This is the state high school play day, and approximately 30 schools will attend. Last year 32 schools were there with a total attendance of over 500 girls. Petitesa Klenos and Prissy Wy- rick will represent Senior in ping- pong, The volleyball team will be composed of Elaine Kithas, Lynn Rankin, Martha Yates, Pat Gilley, Shelba Creed, Kathleen Satter field, Bobbie Tice, Joy Brown, Janice Black, Ann Bolding, Lil lian Lovings, Billie Jessup, Caro lyn Hinshaw, and Brenda Am mons. These girls will also make up the bowling and relay teams. Athletic equipment will be awarded to the winners of the various events at which WC phys ical education majors will offici ate. After the play day today at W. C. the Girls’ Athletic Associa tion is going to Ocean Drive beach for the week end. Miss Margie Gabriel is going to be the chap eron for the group. Martha Yates, Cynthia Burley, Vickie Stewart, Bobbie Tice, Shelba Creed, Joy Brown, Kathleen Satterfield, and Lynn Rankin will be the ones going. Soon after their return the as sociation will be voting on the girl to receive the athletic cup. Aspiring to fame on the Gil lespie Park links are the mem- bci« of the girl’s golf team. There is both a beginning and advanced group qf girls. The first match was play ed at Burlington, and the GHS girls were defeated. Prissy Wyrick, Lynn Rankin, Liz Sutton, Jane Lynch, Ruth Mary Stanley, and Alleyne Garton went to Burlington as the team. Others that are out for tennis are Jeris Edwards, Elizabeth An trim, Nancy Neill, Pat Howell, Bobbie Jean Williams, Marsha Bumpass, Mary Katsikas, Diana Harmon, Sarah Jo Stanley, Paula Tuttle, Ann Robinson, Peggy Sink, Becky Tuck, Nancy Brothers, Molly White, Susan Brooks, Jea« nine Van Kerckhove, Donna Wil liams, and Valinda Beall.
