Dap "Sugar" Willie, a.k.a. "Looting" Lenny, TV star and Stand-up comedian, is a veteran comedian who makes fun of life while delivering a meaningful message to his audiences. With his very unique style, he projects his deep love for people, his desire to avenge the wrong, and his phenomenal vision, which allows him to see beyond the physical to the spiritual. are demonstrated in his basic philosophy - "Love people and use things" instead of Use people and love things." Dap warmed the hearts of America with his outrageous performance of "Looting Lenny" on the hit TV Show, "Good Times." Beverly Todd, a statuesque beauty commands attention. From her earliest days working with mentor Sidney Poitier, she has accrued an impressive list of theater, film and television . credits. One of the goals she wanted to achieve was • that of a successful working actress. She, in fact, is in a . select group of actress of color who has experienced the thrill of working steadily during her career, and one of the few who starred in three films in less than two years. Beverly starred opposite Richard Pryor as the stabilizing force, rational loving wife and mother, in the feature film comedy, "Moving". In the stirring drama film, "Clara's Heart", she assumed the role of a mean and sinister street- smart Jamaican woman whose life intertwined with fellow Jamaican Whoopi Goldberg. In "Lean On Me", she was the strong, sensitive vice-principal pushed to the breaking point by Morgan Freeman, who brilliantly portrayed the real- life principal, Joe Clark. Catch Todd in "I Need A Man". is a story teller. She sings about more than just your simple love songs, she sings about real life and hard hitting situations. On Pepsii's new album, "Chapters," this talented songstress wrote and co-produced two songs, "The Gift of Family" and "In God's Hands" (which is dedicated to her late brother, James). She also co-wrote two songs with the FORCE. Check out Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley in "I Need A Man". Also featured in this soul-stiiring show is Alyson Williams. The all -star matchup on wax of singer extraordinaire Alyson Williams and super producer/manager Russell Simmons has long been a dream deferred. It was indeed Alyson who, cast by Russell, was featured in a series of sizzling duets with Dap "Sugar" Willie His personal values and spiritual commitments Dr.King dreamed of a perfect world. Cheryl "Pepsii" Riiey Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley, who is a long-time friend of Bowlegged Lou, has been described by Lou as "sending chills down his body everytime he hears her voice." FULL FORCE produced her very first album on CBS Record, which was entitled "Me, Myself and 1." It was a top ten success. Her first single, "Thanks for My Child" was a runaway smash, going all the way to Number 1. This song was also written by FULL FORCE. But it has taken until the present moment for Simmons to put the finishing touches on Alyson's Def Jam/Columbia debut. "Raw", Alyson comes by her astonishing emotional and technical range naturally. The daughter of Jazz Trumpeter and Band leader Bobby Booker (who worked with Count Basie, Sy Oliver, Cootie Williams and others). Harlem -bom Alyson had her earliest training as a dancer. A discipline she pursued beginning at age four. She started singing for fun in height school, but quickly won a lot of professional attention by 1982. Alyson doubled as one-third of the Capitol Record's Act High Fashion and as one of New York's most in-demand session singers. Racking up credits with the Commodores, Melba Moore, and Evenlyn "Champagne" King, to name a few. Alyson certainly displays the style, class and quality that suggests her talent is something we will be certain to savor. Mixed Emotions, David Peaston's recent album on MCA Record, simply confirms what his 1989, debut album indicated all along: that Pcaston is unquestionably one of the best soul singers to come along in years. His debut Geffen album, Introducing David Peaston, featuring the R&B charts hits, "Two Wrongs Don't Make It Right", "Can I?", "God Bless The Child" and "We're All In This Together," suggested potential greatness. Now, with Mixed Emotions Peaston fulfills the promise. Remarkably, David, a modest affable man, made show business history without recording even one note. He did it in 1986, when he became the first contestant to remain the "Super Top Dog Winner" of the famed Apollo Theater legendary weekly talent show for the full year, singing several sterling versions of the Billie Holiday classic, "God Bless The Child." When he appeared on the television series, "Showtime At The Apollo" in 1987, he flattened the competition for an unprecedented seven straight weeks and was retired undefeated. Indeed, Peaston unwittingly changed the rules for the TV show. "After 1 left, they changed it to allow a show after me! It was an honor cont. to page IS
