The Minority Business League and its President, James Grace are presently in the state of reorganization, while at the same time making plans for East Winston and the black community as a whole. The MBL, which is a predominantly black corporation, is always reaching out to business that could use the guidance and support that they are qualified to give. Nelson Petree and Thirty Black Men (TMB) ar setting a tone for future black businessmen and community leaders by forming an investment group. This organization has the potential to create jobs in our community, as well as setting a good example for our youth. Ms. Virginia K. Newell, one of the cities most notable leaders, and ladies investment mutual Enterprises is on the verge of closing the gap between incomes of men and women in the Winston-Salem area. Dr. Newell has always been lan avid believer in the 'pooling of sources', and her dreams are certainly on the right track.
