GOD’S TIMING: President Clinton and Sex

any storm, trial and tribulation. My faith, my hope, my trust in God brought me out. I praised God in
the middle of my adversities. And I want you to know that if a special prosecutor uses the tactics
being used against President Clinton, you must know that it’s been done to many innocent
Americans. It was done to former Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, his son Michael Brown,
NewYork Congressman Floyd Flake, former Federal Judge Alcee Hastings, Tennessee
Congressman Harold Ford, the names are too numerous to name here. Many of these black leaders
had your moral and financial support. But Rodney Sumler wasn’t the right kind of black man for
Winston-Salem black leaders to defend in the court of public opinion. Speaking truth to power can
be dangerous to your liberty. Most black folks don’t get a fair shake in America’s Criminal Justice
System. It plays cruel games with people’s lives. Mean-spirited politicians use desperate measures
and an evil-prone press to keep our people slaves and prisoners to fear.
It is now time to compel the United States Justice Department, U.S. attorneys and the FBI to lean
house. The public should require that FBI operations and investigations be above reproach. Instead,
over the past several years, the FBI has been found guilty of a series of confidence-shaking scandals.
There is a move to change the name of the J. Edgar Hoover building in Washington, D.C. Hoover
was a sleazy rai director. He was author and father of guile and sleaze. It’s time for Congress and
the President to demand the removal of the last vestiges of the closed-ranks, good-old boy network
at the FBI. If the FBI can’t be trusted to seek truth and accept the truth, can any government agency
be trusted?
The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once wrote from a jail in Birmingham, “Injustice anywhere
is a threat to justice everywhere.” You must fight injustice no matter who the victim is or injustice
will visit you. What is happening to President Clinton brings to my recollection what got Malcolm
X in trouble when he said, “The chickens have come home to roost.” It’s GOD’s time!

down and talk about her life she wasn’t
just telling tales. She was following a
long line of Black historians who passed
their precious knowledge from
generation to generation using the
most expressive instrument created.
The human voice.
This knowledge is power. Because
when you know where you come from
you know who you are. Our grandpar
ents knew this. So did W.E.B. Dubois,
Sojurner Truth, Carter G.Woodson and
Martin Luther King.
They also knew how important it was
that this knowledge continue to be
handed down. We all have a responsi
bility to preserve and protect this
history in order to positively affect the
quality of our future.
