The AC Phoenix January 2005 Page 3 WATCHFUL NETWORK CELEBRATES lOTHANNIVERSARY Continued from Page 1 amongst black business owners and the community through net working. It is estimated that African Americans now earn in excess of 600 billion dollars annually, yet we only spend 5 percent of our income with black business owners; ninety-five percent is spent elsewhere. In order for African Americans to compete economically in the 21st century, we must invest in and build our community. Other ethnic groups turn their money over a multitude of times. The problem with us is not racism as much as the lack of economic organization. Cultural unity and economic devel opment through faith will be the only force that will free us. The Watchful Network, Inc. sponsors activities such as the Black History Month Expo, held annually. The Business Owners Roundup is held each quarter to ensure that our members and guests stay in contact through out the year. Information is shared and business networking is available. The Spirit of Unity Luncheon is held to promote interaction between business people and the clergy of various religious backgrounds. Topics of discussion include the welfare of the community. Additional Activities consist of • Motivational Seminars • Health and Nutrition Workshops • Business Development Workshops • Monthly Open Membership Meetings • Watchful News Business TV Talk Show • Community Service involvement • Business Think Tank • Dining Theatre Style For complimentary tickets call 336-392-8182 or visit our web site at www.watchfulnetwork.com. lilkmtht Wo/id 6ots Out u/it(i An Associate Consultant^ Newspaper Established 1982 Rodney j.
